Highlights (01.07)
Getting into the new year has been more difficult than I expected. There are plethora of things going on behind the scene both with the blog and in my personal life.
Sadly, I won’t be able to post a new update on Monday. Too much going on this weekend and not enough time throughout the week to get ahead. Taking a full day to get back into the swing of things will go a long way to help me out.
Normal updates will return on Tuesday. Until then, here are this week’s highlights:
2012: A Look Ahead — Most bloggers spent December looking back. This blogger decided to look ahead. Hilarity ensues.
Internet Justice League — For all the nerds out there (like me) this is the internet if major sites were part of the Justice League.
Death To Pennies — It’s time get rid of the world’s most annoying coin.
As a coin collector since childhood, I appreciate the role pennies have played in the history of our nation’s economy. But even I hold no special sentiment. For as Wikipedia says, there’s never been a coin in American history worth as little as the penny is worth today. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efforts_to_eliminate_the_penny_in_the_United_States)
Retire the penny (and the nickel too, in my opinion) and move on!
The nickel should probably be next. There’s no reason we couldn’t round to the nearest 25 cent, really.
I like pennies. Leave pennies alone!
