Your comments and emails were fantastic! Thanks for the encouragement. It’s great to see that I am making an impact on you. Now it’s time to let you in on why I disappeared last week.
But first, how did I get here?
In June, I quit my day job to pursue this blog full time. My goals were to build the site, change the look, start finance coaching, and write an eBook.
It’s the end of October and the look and coaching are ready to be launched and the eBook is on hold. I’m in a great place to continue writing and with the launch of the coaching and a few eBook ideas I’m narrowing down I see this business turning a profit by Christmas.
Why The Break?
Unfortunately, I don’t have until Christmas. To continue taking care of my family, I need a job that can start paying the bills. I’ve been job hunting for the last month and haven’t had any luck.
With the blog, the job hunt, and all the other things in life it became too much for me to handle. The blog and the job hunt were being affected and my marriage was struggling.
To battle that, I made a hard choice: take a break from the blog and put all my effort into one thing: finding a job.
In one week, I’ve gotten an interview, gotten in touch with a few hiring managers, and have made contacts that are eager to talk to me.
It’s been great!
What does this mean for the blog?
- The blog will continue to update. I may need to cut this back to twice a week instead of 4 times, but until then you can expect the same great content.
- The new look is coming. I have been talking about the new look for months and it is finally ready! All I need to do is implement it which could take a week or two.
God has put me in a great position to learn about myself, develop a dream, and take care of my family. Through it all, He introduced me to you; a blessing I can’t express with words.
There is a lot on my plate and more uncertainty than at any other point in my life, but my family has come here for one reason.
Nothing worth doing is ever easy. You have to leap off the edge and build your wings on the way down.
Watch me fly.
